Step 1
Direct two sets of players to take up positions on either side of the court, just as they would for a typical volleyball game.
Step 2
Flip a coin to decide who serves first.
Step 3
Volley the ball in line with normal volleyball rules until a team wins the point. For example, no player may make consecutive hits. Also, if a team hits the ball more than three times before returning it over the net, it loses the point.
Step 4
Allow the team waiting on the sidelines to replace the one that just lost a point. The team that won the point remains King of the Court, and stays in the game until it loses a point.
Step 5
Allow the newcomers to serve the ball to start a new volley.
Step 6
Keep track of points to determine which team most often reigns as King of the Court.
