Tuesday's Tip

With the arrival of fantastic fall footwear, here are a few tips to make the most of your shoe shopping experience and new purchases:
  • Always try on both pairs of shoes and walk around. I have a bad habit of buying my usual size, only to get home and find a certain style or brand may run big or small.

  • Try shoes on at the end of the day. Since your feet swell, you want to be sure shoes will stay comfortable as the day goes on.

  • Just because they are on clearance, that does not mean you have to buy them! I usually think about where my shoe collection is lacking, and find shoes to fit those needs first. Then, I can go a little wild!

  • Don't be one of Cinderella's step-sisters! If the shoe is a smidge too big or too small, then forget it! Nothing is worse than cliff-hanger toes or having your heel come out of your shoe with every other step.

  • Do try something out of your comfort zone. Be daring this fall! Why not try a pair of leopard print booties or an extra inch on that stiletto?

  • Baby wipes work wonders for cleaning off shoes! After a night out or a long day of running around, I like to give my shoes a quick wipe down.
Remember these tips on your next shoe shopping spree. We would also love to hear about your secrets and tips!
