For Monki Spring 2011 you can either go Undercover with a constructed and tailored look, or be a Denim Kind of Girl with a touch of new nostalgia and preppy functionality.
The Denim Kind of Girl returns to the simple life with indigo work wear and basic t-shirts, the 90´s in an up-to-the-minute way. The fabrics have a vintage feel, enzyme washed cotton and linen are significant materials. The key colours are ‘almost white’ and navy is the new black.
Undercover stands for androgynous sharp tailoring, a uniform utility and industrial look that acts protective and cross-functional. The deconstructed garments come in dusted chalk, pale nude and blood red. Wax coating, metal details and technological fabrics complete the look.
Monki presents the Spring preview 2011 through a set of collectable cards.
