Leave out common catch phrases. Many online dating services and websites provide you with a headline where you can enter a brief summary about yourself or even just a catch phrase. Depending on the time of the year and world events, many common phrases will be used and if you use one of those, you’ll just be like all the rest. Instead, do you research and browse other profiles similar to you, the same age, same interests, and location and make yours stand out and be different from the competition. Make sure your catch phrase is unique and interesting as this is one of the first things a browser will see.
Your photo should be clear and eye catching. At the same time, reveling and suggestive photos will only attract a crowd you might not necessarily be looking for. Include interesting photos that might also match your catch phrase. For example, a man hanging off of a cliff as his profile photo with a headline like “do you really know what adventure is?” or something similar will really stand out of the crowd, won’t it?
That doesn’t mean you need to go rock climbing to get an awesome photo for your dating profile. Ask your friends to take a photo that is different and unique. Again, do some research of your competition and take it from there. The more memorable and interesting the photo is the better chance at responses that you’ll get.
