It’s amazing how the human mind can be so creative coming up with all kinds of crazy ideas to fill up date nights on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. However, we can’t all fly our date to Paris for a night or take a trip down to islands for some scuba diving. Although you probably have come up with nice ideas in the past, as soon as the date asks you “ok, let’s meet up this weekend”, you might wind up with absolutely no ideas at all.
Let’s start with the first date. Dating spots and locations will depend on which date you are going on. Hopefully by the third date you can expect it to be in bed, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves and stick to things at least that our parents will approve. On a first date, you might want to keep it short so having an exit plan might not be a bad idea. However, you should keep the date sociable, in public, and if it is going well, then why stop it? Lunch dates are pretty good to start out with as they can be unpredictable and leave an open ended evening. Either having lunch at a coffee shop or restaurant will be pretty relaxing as well as an early dinner at a not so expensive restaurant. The key is to keep the first date manageable and relatively inexpensive.
The second date can involve a bit more than the first. A nice walk in the park with some lunch on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon can be relaxing. Even a trip to the zoo could be fun and a good idea for a second date. Check out a sporting event such as a baseball or basketball game or take a trip to some art galleries, exhibitions, or other museums. Bowling and ice skating can also provide a fun atmosphere for your second date. You can always keep it simple and do the typical dinner and a movie as well. As you can see, a second date can involve more ideas and things to do since the first date is more of a “get to know each other” date.
If the first and second dates went well, it’s time for a third date. Even more involved than the second date, you have established that it has been fun to go to social events with your date so why not take him or her out to an amusement park or water park? Going to a famous tourist attraction or having lunch at a beach can also be a fun third date. If you and your date enjoyed the movie on the second date or didn’t have the opportunity to do the dinner and a movie night, try it out for the third date.
Keeping these ideas in mind can make a fun and enjoyable dating experience. Come up with your own ideas depending on the town or city you live in and get some ideas in advance to propose to your date.
