It’s “Cosmic Love” between Gucci’s Frida Giannini and Florence Welch. After meeting the ginger songstress at the Grammys this year, the designer says she was so struck by Welch’s presence that she inspired Gucci’s Fall ‘11 collection. Why? Daphne Guinness—shy? The heiress, who got dressed for this year’s Met gala in the windows of Barneys, admits, “Maybe this is my way of getting more comfortable with people. Style.com revealed what Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld planned to give Carine for Mother’s Day this year, but here is a look at one of his creative gifts from his younger years. In this image, the first to be released from the Rizzoli pictorial biography on the former Paris Vogue editor due out in October, depicts Roitfeld wearing a shirt Vladimir made for her on Mother’s Day when he was eight years old.
