Tips To Care Your Feet


Callus is the thickening and hardening of the upper layer of skin caused by constant rubbing. If your shoes doesn't fit well it can sometimes cause callus. There's a very good remedy to this problem. Soak your feet in warm water with a chamomile tea bag, then buff away with pumice. Apply lotion or foot cream and always wear socks to bed. Never cut callus it could get infected.

Corns are thick formation on the skin in areas that are being pressed on by underlying bones. Common locations are on the ball of the foot and the fifth toe where it rubs against the shoes. They can sometimes be painful. A good remedy is to soak feet in water, then tape on a slice of pineapple and cover with a sock overnight-the enzymes will soften dead skin. Avoid corn pads with salicylic acid-they irritate skin. To prevent corns look for shoes with cushioned insole or you can put foam or moleskin pads to put over the places where corns form.

Hammertoe is a foot condition in which the one or more of the joints of the toe is permanently contracted, or curled under. Wear shoes or sandals with more wiggle room to keep toes from curling under.

Blister This happens if you are using a new shoes or tight shoes. To treat this problem, just apply antibiotic ointment and cover with a bandage. Don't pop the blisters it can get infected.

Bunions most commonly affect women. It is the enlargement of the inner portion of the joint at the base of the big toe. If you have this problem use bunions pads and try wearing shoes with more room for your toe.
