With a bad photo on your online dating profile, you might ruin your chances on finding that special someone. When choosing the right photo for your profile, check out the seven tips below.
1. Be Creative! Choosing a picture that is different and sets you apart from the other profiles can really stand out and catch interest. If everyone else has a photo at a party with a beer in their hands, then yours should not be a similar photo. You could be funny and creative with your photo, such as holding a sign that says “Wanna date me?” against a bright yellow wall.
2. Be Repetitive! If you have noted about an interest you are really active about, such as travels to Asia, then make sure your photos will include you and your travels to Japan.
3. Be An Editor! Edit your photos using Photoshop or Fireworks, or even the default Paint software, and crop and focus them. Do not make yourself look different than you are but at least brighten up the contrast and quality of the photo.
4. Be Dressed! A little tease is ok with what you’ve got to offer, but don’t go overboard and keep your shirt on! If you portray yourself as a sex god or goddess, you might reduce the chances on finding someone who is imaging introducing this kind of person to their parents or friends.
5. Be Alone! Pets and friends can be left out of YOUR profile photo. If there are about 4 or 5 photos of a favorite pet or nephew, then this can be taken as an advantage to try to boost up your own attractiveness.
6. Be Happy! Smile in your photos! People want to see a happy and bright face instead of glasses and the backside of you.
7. Be Open to Variety! Online dating sites might allow more than one profile photo so definitely take advantage of that and add a few more photos. Try to add photos doing your interests so people can see how you look like doing the things you love the most.
