Exercises for Bad Feet and Hands

Exercise has a tremendous impact on your health and everyone, regardless of age or gender, needs exercise to be healthy. Unfortunately, if you have bad hands and feet, your choices are limited since most exercises involve the hands and feet in some way. The best type of exercise for you is low-impact exercise, which is any type that puts minimal strain on your bones and joints.
Swimming
Swimming is the best exercise for anyone with bad hands and feet. Swimming is low-impact and it puts no stress on your hands or feet. It is an excellent exercise for your cardiovascular system and it also builds muscle. In addition to traditional swimming, you can do water aerobics.
Yoga
Beginners yoga is a relatively low-impact form of exercise. Some movements and poses will put some stress on your hands and feet, but they can be avoided if it is too much. You should avoid any poses that make you balance on the balls of your feet.
Cycling
Cycling is another form of exercise that is considered low-impact and just like swimming it is a cardiovascular exercise that also builds muscle. The best form of cycling to avoid hurting your hands or feet is cycling on a stationary bike that has a seat with back support. This will allow you to cycle hands-free without any risk of falling, as well as pedal at a low level of resistance so you do not put unnecessary stress on your feet.
Exercises to Avoid
You should avoid doing any kind of weight-bearing and high-impact exercises that put stress on your bones and joints. This includes running, weightlifting, jumping rope and jumping jacks. All plyometric exercises fall in this category, as well as most sports.
