Use a television to aid you during your run on the treadmill by increasing speed during the commercials. Run at an easier pace for between 30 and 60 minutes. Once a commercial comes on, increase the speed until the regularly scheduled program returns. Return to your previous pace.
Cross Country
If you're a travel-lover, choose a dream destination and find out how far away it is located. Purchase a map. After each run, move a pin along the route matching the miles you have completed to motivate you to complete your runs.
