Nurturing Ourselves
Look througout the list or nurturing activities and see which of them you mightl ike to try. The list is by no means exhaustivve an is simply a starting point.
Nurturing Activities
  • Doing nothing. Just stop and have a breather.
  • Persuing a hobby like sewing, gardening, crafts, rading or going to the football.
  • Going for a walk.
  • Having an aftrernoon nap.
  • Watching an afternoon nap.
  • Watching our favorite television show, a video or going to the pictures.
  • Doing what pleases you at the moment.
  • Laughing and ralaxing.
  • Doing a meditation exercise.
  • Racing
  • Going for a picnic in park or in the country or in mountains.
  • Going to art galleries.
  • Giving yourself manicure, pedicure or massage.
  • Singing / listening to music
  • Visiting / ringing a friend
  • Relaxaing in a hubble bath.
  • Walking on the beach.
  • Playing cards, scrabble, monipoly or some other board games.
  • Doing some part ime study for your own enjoyment.
  • Drawing / Painting.
  • Giving yourself positive self talk.
  • Trying out a new recipe.
  • Palanning and taking mini holidays.
  • Learning to play a music instrument.
  • Trying a yoga class.
  • Giving yourself the right to say no.
Allowing Others to Nurture Us
We all need and like to feel looked after and apreciated when people compliment you, when they listen as you talk about some difficulty. They offer to help you do a chrore or baby-sit the children or drivve you some place. It's like their gift to you.
