Having been profoundly moved by the tragic events unleashed by the earthquake last March, the Italian designer has decided to dedicate his Giorgio ArmaniPrivé couture collection for autumn/winter to Japan.

“Hommage au Japon” is the creative gesture that marks the culmination of the important and significant aid that Giorgio Armani has extended to the "UNESCO Association Scholarship for 3.11 Disaster Stricken Children and Students" to support a 3-year scholarship program for children whose families have been affected by the disaster.

Megan Fox Armani

Megan Fox Armani

Megan Fox has stripped off for Emporio Armarni's 2011 Underwear and Jeans campaign. The 24-year-old appears in a preview clip for the soon-to-be-released advert wearing next to nothing and showing off the body that landed her on Maxim's hot 100 list four years in a row. In the clip, the actress is

seen wearing risque black lace lingerie and wrapped in a sheer black veil that blows around her body, reports the Daily Mail.
She then writhes around on a leather couch showing off her toned and slender physique, along with her infamous tattoos.
Towards the end of the clip Fox appears topless wearing just a pair of skin-tight white Armarni Jeans as she seductively leans across the back of the sofa.
The full version of the TV advert is due to air in the next few weeks and advertises both the underwear and jeans spring 2011 collections

REMIX EN GRIS

ga-fw11-12-runway2a

To mix and remix: this key approach that defines so much of contemporary culture is at the heart of this collection. It’s an eclectic process that draws on and reinterprets the classic world of Giorgio Armani.

The presence of the colour grey is important and a determining factor for Autumn/Winter 2011-12, and is expressed in a wide range of nuances...masculine and sophisticated.

ga-fw11-12-runway3a

From suits to shoes, from belts to silk printed shirts, flannel transforms and is reinterpreted, giving birth to a mix of innovative impressions.

ga-fw11-12-runway4

This is never more apparent and clearly stated than in the outfit that opens the show: a beautifully designed and weighty overcoat, teamed with a flannel suit/tracksuit, a shirt in jersey and a tie.

ga-fw11-12-runway5a

This fusion of contrasting elements, achieving a well judged balance between the elegant and the casual, combines a clear cut logical code of dress with a total commitment to progressive and contemporary couture for men.

Top 10 picks: Emporio Armani Men F/W 11/12

1. ea11-12-runway1

The INDUSTRIAL Collection

2. ea11-12-runway2

In the setting of a great metropolis, perfectly attuned to the open spaces of any big city, this is a collection that brings freedom of movement and a contemporary edge to couture.

3. ea11-12-runway3a

Never so fluid and lightweight as today, with not a trace of an imaginary life among trees and meadows, this season Emporio Armani is plunging into an intensely realistic urban townscape.

4. ea11-12-runway4a

Here we find overcoats, sometimes combined with waistcoats, to provide protection and warmth, while projecting a completely new image.

5. ea11-12-runway5a

This year shoulders are understated but lengths are impressive, 130 centimetres, the cut is fitted and pared down, with special attention paid to the construction of the collar asymmetric, double, stand-up with flap fastening against the cold all contributing to a deconstructed silhouette.

6. ea11-12-runway6a

Goodbye to nylon and quilting, this is the year for wool in a range of treatments (for instance boiled wool, in a precious combination with alpaca), nubuck style sheepskin and leather for a reassuring sense of solidity, maintained through a range of jackets in streaked wool with needle punch effects that seem scratched into the pile.

7. ea11-12-runway7a

This treatment recurs throughout the accessories, shoulder bags, bags and shoes, which as ever reference and emphasise the key themes of the collection.

8. ea11-12-runway8a

Among the most innovative designs of this season, trousers that unite the casual and sporty knit edging at the hem, which can be concealed by the full length of the leg with the elegant aplomb of the tailored darts at the waist, absolutely typical of the Armani style.

9. ea11-12-runway9a

The colour spectrum is precisely defined: camel; grey marl in a range from medium to dark; black for long overcoats and formal wear.
