Tips To Keep It Going

Here is some more on keeping the conversation between you are your date because we all know those annoying awkward moments are just that, annoying and awkward. Aside from all the other things I have already listed, there is talking about travel. Whether it is where you would like to travel or where you did travel. But, this one is a little tricky. When it comes to talking about where you have traveled, it is always best to start the conversation but never dominate it. To your date it will look like you are showing off or trying to hard to look good. No one likes someone that shows off, and thus it will turn them away in disgust or keep it silently to themselves and it will build up in them the more you do it and you will never know that is happening because they are keeping it to themselves. If you must talk about travel, let them do more talking then yourself. Looking like you are trying to hard to be cool or good looking will only make them think you are full of yourself, and I believe everyone here doesn’t like someone that does that.
You need to understand, learn and use the fact that by talking about where you’ve been in your life, given that you been to some cool places or a lot of places, isn’t all that attractive. By opening this conversation you can get a better feel for your dates feelings, beliefs and cultural awareness and what ever else might sprout from it. They may even be able to share some funny stories for a good laugh or two. Once you have them on a roll you simply listen and relate. Everyone loves a person that can listen sincerely. If you can relate to it that will add a bond to the two of you, but don’t worry if you can’t relate. If you can’t relate, simply ask questions when you don’t know something. This helps your date feel more important, which is a key factor in getting someone to like you sincerely, and it lets your date know that you ARE listening to them and interested enough in the subject that they are talking about to ask questions that relate to it. This also gives the bonding effect, given you don’t be negative about it. Don’t sound or look rude when you ask a question about it. Sometimes, and I know this from personal experience, no matter what you say will sound like you have a chip on your shoulder or you don’t approve of something. That is how I am and I don’t mean to sound that way, so I just started watching my tone and actually giving my voice some life so that way I’d no longer get people confused so I wouldn’t need to explain myself every time.
Lastly, when you talk about yourself, no matter what it is about. Your passions, your childhood, your traveling history or what ever else. You should try to express any lessons you may have learned from those stories. This helps your date get a wider knowledge of you depth of thought and emotion and allows for some more conversations that may be a little more in depth then the others you have talked about. It is just an overall good idea for when you are talking. It adds more to the conversation than just normal talking. Think about it, you made good friends in school, the place of learning and probably made them WHILE you were learning. So, it only makes sense if by associating what you learned from your passions or past into your conversation it would not only partially teach your date about it as well but also more about you, which gets you two that much closer together. So it is a win win situation. Just simply try to express something you may have learned in your talks and viola.
So, there you have it guys and gals. Even more talking ideas. Like I said, they are rather simple, common sense, right under your nose sort of ideas. All it takes is a little thinking or reading to get conversations flowing almost endlessly. Good luck guys and gals and happy dating!
