Warner Bros.' production of The Dark Knight Rises has officially begun filming a scene at a small home in Lawrenceville. Millionaire Playboy was there and managed to snap a few photos from the set, including Christopher Nolan himself looking over the location. Details of the scene are few, but the site notes that a small amount of fake snow was spotted on the ground (and can be seen in the images below). This news certainly fits with yesterday's report that said we'd be seeing Gotham City in the wintertime.

The Pittsburgh press and fans are out in force following the production of Christopher Nolan's last Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises

Thanks to the movie magic employed by the makers of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises," one block in Lawrenceville was immune from the heat, humidity and intermittent showers that fell Friday afternoon.

On 41st Street between Butler and Foster streets, director Christopher Nolan was on-site to oversee the film's first day of shooting in Pittsburgh. Under his watchful eye, dozens of cargo-short clad staffers converted picturesque row house No. 170 into the home of a Gotham City judge, played by Brett Cullen.

Piles of fake snow dotted the sidewalks, and black canvas drapes and heavy-duty screens blotted out the sun to create a dreary winter backdrop. Wind and dust machines were on hand to create a storm, even though Pittsburgh skies threatened their own as the afternoon wore on.

Gary Oldman's police Commissioner Jim Gordon ran up the house's steps in take after take to alert the judge to dirty dealings and increasing violence in Gotham.

Well-meaning Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate, played by Marion Cotillard, came to the judge's house in a scene with Commissioner Gordon and Detective Jim Blake, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Daily Bhaskar is reporting that filming for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will take place in India as well:

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has given the nod to US-based Cape Road Productions to lense the next Batman flick, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is the second-largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city is known as the Sun City and is also referred to as the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort.

The Dark Knight Rises will start filming soon for a July 20, 2012 release.

Plot Summary: Loud music. Pornography. Burning stuff to the ground. These are a few of Hesher's favorite things. And they are what Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) brings into the lives of 13-year-old TJ (Devin Brochu) and his father, Paul (Rainn Wilson) when he unexpectedly takes up residence in their garage uninvited. Hesher also befriends TJ's grandmother (Piper Laurie), who lives with them. She's extremely lonely as her son and grandson are unable to snap out of their fog. When Hesher arrives and appreciates her cooking and listens to her stories, it's as though she found a new friend, under very odd circumstances. The only friend TJ really has is Nicole (Natalie Portman), who is a supermarket cashier who comes to TJ's rescue when he first encounters Hesher. They have an odd relationship that's based, in part, on TJ's infatuation with Nicole. Although initially a rather terrifying character, over time Hesher's anarchy shakes the family out of their grief and helps them embrace life once more.
