When it comes to dating, the hardest and worst thing that you will ever come across is how to properly find the best way to end a date that went wrong. Believe me, it is a very depressing and difficult feeling to have to try to end a date after your hopes were so high.
It’s really no different then imagining your Mr./Ms. Right and then it all ends up exactly how you didn’t want it to turn out.
Sometimes dates won’t go exactly how you would have planned or imagined it, maybe his or her gestures you don’t like, or how they are dressed or perhaps their attitude is just not what you were expecting, these things happen.
So, what do you say when it comes time for the good night? How can you let them down gently without being a harsh moron? Most of all, how do you avoid the kiss?
If I were you, I would not beat around the bush, be nice, but not harsh, get straight to the point but in a nice way. Thank them for the time together, and for the date, but make sure that you make sure you make it clear that you don’t want to date again, but tell them there are always other people out there, that will help.
Sometimes a bad date turns into a friendship, and if you want this person to be your friend, tell them that you don’t want to date but you believe they would make a great friend, and that too would be a great way to end a bad date. But of course, if you don’t want to see the person again, make sure you let them know that in a non moronic way.
Some people prefer the direct approach to end dates, others enjoy the indirect, non manly, shallow way to do it. Tell them by the phone? E-mail? Text message? This happens when you don’t got the guts, or other parts, to tell them it to their face. You skip their emotional reaction and therefore you don’t see how you hurt them. This makes you less human like. You need to be blunt and straight forward WITH the person, not long distance, that is just dumb people! So good luck!
