Kate Middleton was recently given a pair of Princess Diana's favorite earrings by Prince William, who previously gave her Diana's sapphire and diamond engagement ring. The earrings were said to be his late mother's favorites.
"Now that they're married, William wanted her to have some of his mother's favorite pieces that meant a lot to her," an insider tells The Daily Mail (UK).
Ever the fashionista, Kate Middleton opted to give Diana's earrings a modern twist by having the studs remodeled into drop earrings, as seen below:
