Prince William & Kate Middleton's Float Plane Adventure

After wrapping up a day's worth of activity in Yellowknife, Prince William and Kate Middleton set off for Blachford Lake late Tuesday afternoon (July 5).

On what's the sixth day of their nine day Canadian trek, the royal newlyweds boarded a float plane for the short 20-minute flight - with Kate swapping out of her Malene Birger cream dress and into a more comfortable ensemble consisting of an olive top with jeans.

Once landed at Blachford Lake, Will and Kate were greeted by a group consisting of Federal Defense Minister Peter MacKay, Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq, Brig. Gen. Guy Hamel of the Canadian Forces' Joint Task Force North, as well as members of the 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group.

On the Blachford Lake itinerary are stops including a tour of the Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning, which happens to be a self-described "bush university," as well as a fireside chat with Dechinta participants and activities including moosehide tanning and fish drying.

Set to depart the locale late in the evening, the final two days in Canada will be spent in Calgary before the North American tour concludes with a two day visit to Los Angeles, California.
