Tyler Perry is taking his next career cue from Oprah Winfrey and launching his own cable network. The super-producer is partnering up with Lionsgate movie studio on a new venture called Tyler TV.
According to the NY Times, the deets are still being ironed out but the network's initial launch will be powered by reruns of Tyler's sitcoms and movies as well as third-party content with a Christianity-slant.
So far, neither Lionsgate nor Tyler have spoken publicly about their plans. Now this is a BIG f'in deal. Congrats to Tyler!
